Anfang 2008 AOL Sie kündigten möglichst ihren Rücktritt an Einstellung der Unterstützung für der Netscape-Browser, und empfiehlt Benutzern die Portierung Herde oder Firefox. 3 Jahre und fast 2 Monate später, genauer gesagt vor ein paar Tagen, die aus Zynga das haben sie angekündigt wird die Unterstützung für den sozialen Browser Flock einstellen (die sie zu Beginn des Jahres gekauft haben) auf 26. April 2011. Das heißt, in einer Woche.

Die Unterstützung für Flock-Browser wird am 26. April 2011 eingestellt. Wir möchten unseren treuen Benutzern auf der ganzen Welt für ihre Unterstützung danken und ermutigen die Flock-Community, in den kommenden Wochen auf einen der unten aufgeführten empfohlenen Webbrowser zu migrieren.
Browser auf die sich die Nutzer von denjenigen richten, die über das Schicksal des Social Browsers entschieden haben, sind - offensichtlich – Die Browser, die die Basis von Flock waren (und immer noch sind):

Nu excela in viteza, nu ma dadeam in vant nici dupa accesul rapid la orice retea sociala mi-as fi putut imagina si nici nu foloseam optiunea de a publica pe blog direct din browser. In schimb presimt ca imi va lipsi destul de mult sidebar-ul Feeds, un feature care ori este tratat superficial de unele browsere, ori prezinta ceva bube marca Microsoft ori e nevoie de addon-uri pentru resuscitarea lui. Too bad.
