“Zoekconnector” este un feature mai putin stiut al Windows 7, care ne permite sa cautam pe Youtube, Flickr, DevinatArt, Bing, Yahoo! Search, Amazone si pe alte site-uri direct din Windows Explorer, fara a fi nevoie sa mai deschidem un Internetbrowser.
Create Search Connector pentru Windows 7.
Totul sta intr-un fisier .osdx, care poate fi editat cu ajutorul unui editor text (Notepad). Pentru Bing Search Connector in Windows Explorer, continutul fisierului .osdx va arata cam asa:

Putem crea un Search Connector pentru orice motor de cautare, portal sau site. Conditia este ca acesta sa permita RSS pentru rezultatul cautarilor. Din acest motiv, inca nu s-a facut niciun connector pentru Google Search.
Cum instalam un search connector pe Windows 7.
1. Dublu-click pe fisierul .osdx si click pe butonul “Toevoegen” VAN “Add Search Connector“.
2. Acum putem deschide orice folder dorim. In partea stanga sub Favorieten o sa observam link-ul connectorului instalat.
3. Click pe connector & search. Folosim Windows Explorer Search Box.

In interiorul arhivei web_search_connectors.zip se gasesc fisierele .osdx pentru Bing!, Yahoo! Search, Flickr, Youtube si DeviantArt.
