We have a case with two operating systems Windows XP installed on the same partition. When we start the computer, on Black-Screen we are asked what operating system we want to enter.
If the installation of the two operating systems was done “by mistake” (It happens to give installation of Windows xp directly from “My Computer :)), we can choose a basic system to use, and on the other system we can We uninstall / delete.
How we can delete a Windows XP operating system if we have two single -part systems.
1. First of all we have to decide what Windows XP Let's stop installed on the PC and check which folder is installed the Windows XP we want to keep. To see which Windows folder is, we open the run box and key “%windir%”. Enter sheep ok.

2. We check in the upper bar of Windows Explorer which is the partition and the system folder.

In our case C: Windows is the folder of the operating system we want to keep.
We go to C: and we delete the folder the operating system we want to eliminate. Usually his name is Winnt.

3. Now we will have to disappear the operating system eliminated, from Boot menu. The one that appears on the black background when we start the computer. To do this you will have to edited boot.ini.
We press the keys: Windows + Pause/Break to open System Properties. We go on the tab “Advanced” and we click on the button “Settings” of the Startup and Recovery.

4. Click on the button Edit To change boot.ini (before making changes it is good to save the original lines in a TX.) We delete the lines of operating system eliminated and keep only those of our system. In the screenshot below selected with blue the lines of the stored system.
We save the file boot.ini, setam time “0” the “Time to display list of operating system” And we press ok.
We restart the computer.
After Restart will automatically charge the operating system Windows XP chosen by you
