A little while ago, NOKIA announced the acquisition ENTERPRISE Navteq for the amount of … $8.1 billion$$$ ( ~ 5.7 billion EURO).
The investment strengthens NOKIA's leading position on the market mobile telephony and allows the development / expansion of services GPS Nokia Maps and web maps ( Navteq owns one of the largest websites of digital navigation maps – traffic.com).
