Another step forward for Windows 7: Microsoft made public what the versions of the new operating system will be (of course, apart from trial :P). These will be in number of 5, but only 3 of them will be Windows distributions in the true sense of the word. Versions Windows 7 will be the following:
- Windows 7 Starter – will only be available as pre -installed operating system on PCs with poor configuration (OEM-built PCs); it cannot run more than 3 programs at the same time.
- Windows 7 Home Basic – will be available only in countries with developing economies; it will not be able to be sold legally in the USA, Japan, Western Europe or other developed countries.
- Windows 7 Home Premium – his successor Windows Vista Home Premium (includes interface Aero); it is expected to be the version with the greatest success with the public. :)
- Windows 7 Professional - includes all Home Premium features and, in addition, offers special ones useful for business people.
- Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate – created especially for corporations and large companies that have a contract Software Assurance with Microsoft.
YET it is not known what the prices will be these versions, but Microsoft still comes with o good news: upgrading from the Home version to a more advanced version (Professional or Ultimate) will be done in a few minutes and it will not require system reinstallation (unlike Vista).
