Un punctaj de 95/100 este o performanta uluitoare pentru noul Internet Explorer 9 (Preview 4). Daca testam Internet Explorer 8, acesta nu va scoate mai mult de 55/100 pe testul Acid3, care masoara performantele si compatibilitatea Internet Browser-elor in acord cu cerintele Web 2.0. Din cate se stie IE 8 este cap lista in topul celor mai neperformante browsere atunci cand vine vorba de web surfing in conditii de siguranta, compatibilitate cu aplicatii web / scripting, consum de resurse si stabilitate.

Internet Explorer 9 se anunta a fi un browser demn de a concura cu Firefox, Opera si Safari, insa, acest rezultat nu ar trebui sa fie un o bula de oxigen pentru Microsoft. Noul Safari 5.0.1 are un punctaj de 100/100 pe Acid3, iar pana ca Safari sa ajunga la aceasta performanta, Opera stat mult timp in topul Acid cu 100/100. Imi amintesc ca in urma cu cativa ani, autentificarea pe sedo.com era permisa numai cu Opera Browser. La acel moment era singurul browser care indeplinea conditiile de securitate web impuse de Sedo.
