In January of the current year, ASUS announced the enrichment of its famous range Transformer Book with three new ones 2-in-1 to the system motorized by Windows platform, and these have now also arrived in Romania. Based on the favorable precedent made by T100, which was one of the most appreciated Windows tablets with keyboard, ASUS created the new ones Transformer Book Chi with 12.5 inch, 10.1 inch and 8.9 inch screens, but this time the company is targeting a more demanding market segment.

Tableta Transformer Book T300 Chi is the largest member of the new range ASUS, managing to best combine the advantages of a tablet with those of a tablet Ultrabook because it offers a display with a large diagonal and an Intel Core M processor. The 12.5 inch screen uses an IPS panel with full coverage sRGB And it has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Intel Core M processor (available in versions 5Y10 and 5Y71) uses a passive cooling system. The list of technical specifications also includes 8 GB of RAM memory, a storage unit SSD with a capacity of 128 GB, slot MicroSD, HDMI 1.4 video output, and port Micro USB 3.0, and port Micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n interfaces and Bluetooth 4.0, a battery that promises an autonomy of eight hours and a front camera with a 2 MP sensor. Although it is a 2-in-1 system with a detachable keyboard, therefore heavier and bulkier due to the magnetic docking system and wasted space, Transformer Book T300 Chi it is impressive when we look at the physical parameters.
The metal case has a weight of 720 g and a thickness of 7.6 mm, while the whole assembly including the Bluetooth keyboard has a thickness of 16.5 mm and a weight of 1.42 kg. Unfortunately, as in the case of other systems with an Intel Core M processor, the price is a bit high: approx 3800 lei. Another unpleasant aspect is the loss of certain additional equipment that we knew from the two previous T300 versions, namely the USB port and the additional battery in the keyboard, which can power the tablet.

Transformer Book T100 Chi it is a slightly more compact and less powerful version of the T300 model, which tries to offer optimal comfort while working but also better portability. This system offers a display with a diagonal of 10.1 inches, resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and an IPS panel with similar imaging parameters. Transformer Book T100 Chi use one Atom processor from the Bay Trail generation, more precisely one Intel Atom Z3775, and the list of specifications also includes 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal eMMC memory, 2 GB of RAM memory, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI video output, port Micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0 and two cameras with 5 and 2 MP sensors respectively.
Transformer Book T100 Chi it is the only member of the family that will optionally offer a data modem, but the implementation is very strange. Instead of being placed directly in the tablet, the LT modemE is implemented in the keyboard and will use the Bluetooth 4.0 connection for data transmission, which means that this accessory becomes indispensable, whether you use it or not, if you want to benefit from the freedom offered by the operator's network.

The tablet boasts that it isit's the thinnest Windows model with a 10.1 screen″, the 7.2 millimeters being probably an explanation for the strange implementation of the data modem. The tablet weighs 570 grams (not including the keyboard). Docked in the keyboard, the Transformer Boot T100 Chi weighs 1 kilogram and is 13.2 millimeters thick.
In the end, he is the middle child of the family Tranformer Book T90 Chi. It offers a hardware configuration similar to that of the T100 Chi model, but the internal memory options are limited to 32 and 64 GB and there is no HDMI port. The screen has a diagonal of 8.9″, a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and uses an IPS panel similar to the one mentioned in previous models. Transformer Book T90 Chi is also the cheapest model of the range, cost reductions determining the replacement of the magnet and rail fastening system with a somewhat unconvincing and uncertain one, based on simple pressure.
Transformer Book T90 Chi has a thickness of 7.9 cm, being one of the thinnest Windows tablets with 8.9 screen″, and the weight is only 400 grams. The whole assembly has a weight of 750 grams and a thickness of 16.5 millimeters. ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is available in Romania, at a price of approx 3800 lei, while the T100 Chi and T90 Chi models will be available soon, at prices starting from 2350, respectively 1650 lei.
