For several days I have been thinking about if to buy a service from Yahoo! Mail or not. More precisely it is about a upgrade that of the Yahoo! Mail, the Yahoo! Mail Plus, available to everyone who has a Yahoo! mailbox.

Advantages :

– instead of 10MB to attached files, Yahoo! Mail Plus allow 20MB (an option that doesn't delight me, because I don't send movies and other nonsense by e-mail. Rarely, when I have a file to attach .pdf or archive greater than 4-5MB.)
– 50 filter , able to sort received or sent messages, in the personal folders created in the e-mail account. (the free version allows 15. I don't use any.)
– SpamGuard Plus , because it would work better than SpamGuard and is able to filter and block unsolicited messages. Hill from IT workers , who send offers with fog glasses  summer and underwater goggles winter.
– AddressGuard – that is, to be able to send/receive mails from another available mail address, created inside Yahoo! Mail . (the option also exists without upgrade)
– No graphical ads – No ads in the email account. This option makes all the money, especially for those who use the latest version of Yahoo! Mail and are bothered by the banner on the right side of the messages.
– Offline access with POP – allows retrieving/sending messages through any desktop e-mail application. gender Outlook , Windows Live Mail , Mozilla Thunderbird, etc. (I use Windows Live Mail, so POP would be useful)
– Mail forwarding – redirection of received messages to another email address, even if that address is not from Yahoo! . (uhm .. I don't need)
– No promotional taglines in messages – Promotional messages no longer appear in sent e-mails. Whether it's about webmail or Pop3.
– No account expiration – The account and emails will not be stressed in case of a long absence from the PC. I have no idea how long the period is “grace” for a Yahoo! Mail. I know that after a longer period, if I don't log in to the e-mail account, the messages are deleted automatically, but the account can be reactivated after logging in.

Disadvantages:

– 19.99 $ / an . I mean neither 9 packs of Kent8 , which would not last me a week.
