Most Internet users in Romania use Google as their main search engine, but very few of them know how to ask the search engine for the information they are interested in. Man is limited to www.google.com or .ro with the settings by default, swrite the keywords and press enter or click on the button “Search for” to see the results. Many of the sites listed by Google following this search do not contain satisfactory information for the user.
In many cases, the title of a page and/or the web address contain the most representative words/expressions for the content of the information on the page. For an advanced search of pages that contain keywords in the title and/or URL, use the following commands:
For example, I want to search on Google “avatars yahoo” .
1. allintitle:avatars yahoo
Using the prefix allintitle: in front of the keywords, the search engine understands to select only the results that contain in the title of the page the words: avatars yahoo .
2. intitle:avatars yahoo
intitle: is somewhat similar to allintitle: , only here Google puts more emphasis on the first word in the expression ( avatars ). It displays in the first results, pages of sites that contain in the title “avatars yahoo”. Once removed from the first page of results, the search engine will list results that contain the word in the title “avatars” and in the content and/or address of the page the word “yahoo” .
3. allinurl:avatars yahoo
allinurl: , do the same with allintitle: , only that it refers to the URL (address) of the web page. Lists all web pages that contain the address “avatars yahoo” .
4. inurl:avatars yahoo
inurl: , is more complicated to understand. Read point 3. ( allinurl: ) and you will understand from point 2. what the Google search engine lists, on order inurl:avatars yahoo . ;-)
