Meta is facing a technical problem, which is why all Instagram and Facebook accounts do not work. “Session expired – Please log in again”.
Users around the world were affected by this significant disruption to Meta services, which resulted in users being logged out of Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. Users are logged out of their Facebook accounts, and are asked for their password to log in, because the session has expired.
Even if the account password is the correct one, login to the Facebook or Messenger account cannot be done, which has created panic among many users.
This unexpected outage also included the Meta Quest headset, thus blocking Horizon Worlds and causing the metaverse to become unavailable.
According to reports, more than 300,000 users have reported issues on the Down Detector platform, while Twitter and other social networks have been flooded with similar complaints.

This is not the first time that Facebook, Messenger or Instagram have faced this problem. Update: Apparently, after nearly an hour of outage, Facebook (web) and Messenger (web) services are back to normal. Users who received the message “expired session” can't sign in right now on the apps: Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads.
