redirect : Google Page Rank
The other day, Google displayed the new PR (Page Rank) at the end of a new cycle of indexing, site checks and other procedures.
What is PR? (Google Page Rank) ? – It is the mark (from 1 to 10) given by Google to a web page, depending on its relevance from the perspective of search engines. More details on seo-point.com .
How to get PR (Google Page Rank) ? – Until this morning, I thought I knew what it was all about. Now I'm not sure anymore. In my mind, the PR was obtained depending on how many link-uri had to your website (back links) and of course the sites on which your links were should have a PR as high as possible. The uniqueness of the content is also very important. I also found a discussion in this sense on the forum at Blogoree , Page Rank . good From all the comments on Blogoree , only one caught my attention.
krumel says:
To have a good PR you need links to the blog with high PR and good. The number doesn't necessarily matter..just that the ratio between those with high PR and those with lower PR should be in favor of those with high PR. […]
Either I'm missing something at this time, or everything I thought about Page Rank so far it's exactly the opposite. K…! krumel , I think he is right and I have a pretty good proof (my opinion) to support his statement above.
About a month ago (on March 20, 2007), I bought the domain laurentiupiron.com . Irrelevant why I bought it. Since the first day the field laurentiupiron.com was redirected to the blog – stealthsettings.com . I redirected index.html , 400.shtml (Bad request), 401.shtml (Authorization required), 403.shtml (Forbidden), 404.shtml (Wrong page) and 500.shtml (Internal server error) to stealthsettings.com , using the source:
<title>Laurentiu Piron / Blog</title><script>
var browser_type=navigator.appName
var browser_version=parseInt(navigator.appVersion)
//if NS 6
if (browser_type=="Netscape"&&browser_version>=5)
window.location.replace("https://stealthsettings.com")
//if IE 4+
else if (browser_type=="Microsoft Internet Explorer"&&browser_version>=4)
window.location.replace("https://stealthsettings.com")
//if NS4+
else if (browser_type=="Netscape"&&browser_version>=4)
window.location.replace("https://stealthsettings.com")
//Default goto page (NOT NS 4+ and NOT IE 4+)
else
window.location="https://stealthsettings.com"
</script>
OK. It seems that in this way www.laurentiupiron.com, a site non-existent in Google , arrived at PR3 , equal to the address to which it was redirected . Tested in Google Toolbar and here . I can count the number of back links to the domain on the fingers of one hand. The few sites on which there was a link to laurentiupiron.com did not even have PR1 until a few days ago. what does he say Google Search about this? Say as follows:
site:URL (Indexed pages in your site)
site:www.laurentiupiron.com – Your search – site:www.laurentiupiron.com – did not match any documents. (That is, pages indexed in the search engine = 0. Quite a few for PR3 . My opinion. .)
site:www.stealthsetting.com – Results 1 – 10 of about 1,360 from stealthsettings.com. (enough for PR3 )
The part that I really don't understand starts here:
link:URL (Pages that link to your site’s front page)
link:www.laurentiupiron.com – Results 1 – 10 of about 141 linking to www.laurentiupiron.com.

link:stealthsettings.com – Results 1 – 10 of about 141 linking to stealthsettings.com.
There is no connection between the two addresses apart from what I presented above. A simple redirect. I don't think that until I write this post on stealthsettings.com there is a link to laurentiupiron.com. They are not even hosted on the same server. For me, the way Google Page Rank (PR) is calculated is a bit strange.
If that's how things are…I ask myself the question: What PR will I get for the blog if I redirect it for a month to cisco.com (PR10)?

O (zero) pages in Google
