Dumprep.exe is a process integrated by Microsoft (In-Built Software) in Windows operating systems (starting with Windows XP). In case you have serious errors of the applications installed on the system (most often caused by corrupt registers or hardware problems), Dumprep creates .txt files on the conditions in which they have appeared (Memory Dump Reports). After the first report created (the first error) you have the opportunity to choose if this and the following reports (about the different errors that you will face at certain times - because you will definitely be sent or not to Microsoft (the famous Error Report).
Usually, after the restart of the rigor that the system steals at each more significant error, Dumpare scans the system files to find the cause of the error, then makes a report on it. During scanning and creating the report, Dumprep.exe can also use 100% of CPU (which is why most consider it to be a process HARMFUL; But note that in a system maintained and without problems/errors, Dumprep never makes his head).
Dumprep.exe is not a vital process for the operation of your system, but it is not recommended to deactivate it because in the reports about errors you can find out their cause, and where the cause, you can stop the repetition of the respective errors. If you still want to disable this process, you can do it using one of the following methods:
1. Open Run (Start Menu) and Tab Msconfig. In the open window, select the Startup tab and then disperse Dumprep 0 –k and Dumprep 0-then restart the system.
2. Open Registry Editor (Run -> regedit –> Enter) and follow the path hkey_local_machine software microsoft windows currentversion run. In the panel on the right side wipe the entrance of Dumprep (reg_sz) and then restart to the PC.
Careful! Dumprep.exe is not the cause of the problem, but is caused by the problem. If you notice that dumprep.exe runs unusually often in the system and, especially, for no valid reasons, we recommend that you make a thorough scan to make sure it is not viruses!
