Internet Explorer 9 is definitely the most stable Internet Browser launched by Microsoft. After a lot of moderate use time, I still met an error.
Dialog Caseta “Internet Explorer has stopped working” does not necessarily represent a error because of the browser. May be a conflict with a driver or with one script (java, actionscript, ajax, etc…)
In our case, this is the module nvumdshim.dll that cannot be “digest” of IE9 when we access web pages that request GPU. It is a typical error of computers and laptopthe ones who have video cards nVidia and who have set video cardto use GPU for Internet Explorer.
SOLVING “Internet Explorer has stopped working” – Fault Module Name: nvumdshim.dll
We open the GPU settings (Customize Which Programs Use the GPU) > Manage 3D Settings > we select “Microsoft Internet Explorer” And we set to use the integrated video card.
If we only have the dedicated video card, then we will have to turn off the 3D / Cuda GPU modules for the Internet Explorer application.
