Jqs is the abbreviation from Java Quick Starter, and the process belongs to Sun Microsistems (Java). jqs.exe help to improve the time of startup of Java applications and extensions by introducing periodically in memory files Java Runtime Enviroment.
Although it consumes few resources (1.5MB RAM and 2MB virtual memory), JQS.exe is for the most useful majority (for faster start of Java support applications, met once a week/month, it does not make sense to run this process in background), so that We recommend deactivating the process. The system performance will not increase significantly, but you will release some memory :)
How can you disable the JQS.exe process
- Enter Control Panel and give double-click on Java
- in Java Control Panel Click on the tab Advanced, then on the entrance Miscellaneous And you will dismiss Java Quick Starter.
JQS.Exe will be disabled.
Note: If you notice in Task Manager that JQS.Exe consumes many resources, we recommend a rigorous system scan to determine if it is a virus/trojan/spyware or a software/incompatibility.
