great risk of infection of PCs is represented by the Internet. Most virus attacks come from the Internet, but that doesn't mean a PC that isn't connected to the Internet doesn't need one software Anti-Virus. Viruses can penetrate through CDs, DVDs, mobile phone cards, USB sticks and other data carriers that are attached to the PC.

Offline Update for Kaspersky Internet Security users & AntiVirus.

1. Download the update archive (KLUpdater.zip) from the page:

This archive contains a update software, which will help you download the databases updated daily, for all Kaspersky products. You will see that it is useful for all versions of Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Antivirus.

2. Unzip the file KLUpdater.zip, and from the folder that is created, run KasperskyUpdater.exe. Windows 7 and Windows Vista users will have to run this executable “Run as administrator“.

3. In the panel that opens (Kaspersky Updater), select the product and antivirus version for which you want to download the updates. In the image below, it is selected Kaspersky Internet Security 9.0.0.463.

After selecting, click on the buttons Apply & Start, and wait until the download is finished. (it can take up to a few minutes. depending on the download speed).

4. When the upload is finished, in the folder clothes (result in point 2.) you will notice that two new folders have appeared. Temp and Updates.
folder Updates contains the updates with the antivirus databases for the software you selected. Copy this folder to the PC on which you have installed the antivirus.

Add Offline Update Source in Kaspersky Antivirus & Kaspersky Internet Security.

1. click-right on the Kaspersky icon in the lower-right corner (SYSTRAY) & click Update in the menu that opens.

2. In Kaspersky Update Center, click on the button Settings. (it's somewhere in the upper-right corner)

3. Click on the button Settings... from “Update source“.

4. In Update Settings, click on +Add and select the Updates folder that was created at point 4 Kaspersky Updater.

OK, OK … & Apply & Update :)

Now a new update source has been added. The local source, which you can update as many times as you want.
