Here Maps navigation application from Nokia will soon return to devices with iOS operating system. This is one of the most popular applications on Windows Phone and will also debut on Android, thanks to the partnership with Samsung. The plan is like the service Here Maps to be available on all three mobile platforms by the end of 2015. Nokia Maps were first released on IOS, but these did not have the desired success. Unfortunately, the application did not agree with the operating system Apple, and after its launch iOS7, the Finnish company has decided to completely give up support and withdraw the application from App Store. The reason seems to be the incompatibility of the new iOS version with the application.

Sean Fernback, SVP Nokia, admitted that the launch of the old version of Here Maps on iOS was a failure, but he wanted to specify the fact that, now, the company's focus falls exclusively on software, giving his team the opportunity to create a reliable product.

What we know for sure is that, in 2015, we will see the famous service Here Maps pe iOS and Android, along with the version on Windows Phone. Considering the tiny market share that Windows Phone has worldwide, the exclusivity of this service on the platform Microsoft it was not a justified one, and now like the divisions Nokia of software and hardware they are different entities, there are no more contractual obligations that prevent the porting of services.
