At the end of last year, there were over 2 billion active Apple devices and 935 million active subscriptions, the American company announced in the report for the last quarter of 2022.
In last year's report from the same period, Apple announced that there are 1.8 billion active devices worldwide. Including here the entire range of the company's devices, from iPhone, iPad, Mac to AirPods, Apple TV, AirTag.
It is a spectacular increase if we take into account that since 2019, every year the number of devices increased by 100 – 150 thousand per year. In just 7 years, the number of Apple devices doubled, reaching from 1 billion to 2 billion.
Despite these increases in the number of active devices, it is the first year since 2016 that the company reports annual revenue declines at quarter level. Apple reported revenues of $117.2 billion in the final quarter of 2022, down 5% year over year.

Record revenue from services on active Apple devices
In terms of subscription-based services, including: Apple Music, downloaded applications, AppleTV and iCloud, Apple slightly exceeded estimates, reaching $20.8 billion.
The receipts are generated by the 936 million paid subscriptions, an increase of 150 million compared to the previous year.
For Apple, the figures are as promising as possible. Receipts of 20.8 billion dollars in difficult macroeconomic conditions worldwide and interruptions in supply flows.
It is known that products such as iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are very difficult to find in stocks all over the world, more than three months after their launch on the market. The same happens with the flagship models from the Apple Watch Series 8 Stainless Steel range.
