Microsoft released the suite Windows Essentials 2012 for Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems, previously known as Windows Live Essentials. The new version also includes the SkyDrive desktop application and us feature-uri for Movie Maker and Photo Gallery.

The new features for Movie Maker are video stabilization, the support for H.264, search-ul in AudioMicro, archive Free Music, Vimeo Music Store and text effects. In addition, users can uploada and share videos on Vimeo direct din Movie Maker si Photo Gallery.

Windows Essentials 2012 nu include si the Live Mesh application, this being replaced by the new SkyDrive application. If you have Live Mesh installed in your system, this will be it automatically uninstalled when you will install Windows Essentials 2012, and the new SkyDrive will take its place (if you want to continue using Live Mesh, do not install Windows Essentials 2012, but continue to use an earlier version Windows Live Essentials).

In addition to the SkyDrive, Movie Maker and Photo Gallery applications, the Windows Essentials 2012 suite still includes Windows Writer, Outlook Connecter Pack, Family Safety, Mail and Messenger.
