This error is sometimes present at the installation Microsoft Office Project 2003, and the causes, symptoms and the solutions are described in detail in KB830422. In cazul instalrii unor aplicatii sau jocuri de pe CD, datele problemei se schimba, iar cauzele erorii “Error 1309. Error Reading from File” pot fi multiple.
The error occurs most commonly when installing an application or game has been stopped prematurely, without the installer wearing the files used for installation. Some large volume (GB) programs and games that are installed from CD or DVD creates on a partition or in C:Users<username>AppDataLocalTemp Folders containing installation files. Normally after the completion of the installation process or at a correct stop of the installation, these folders and files that serve the installation process, it is normal to delete automatically. If the installation process has been stopped prematurely and these installation files were not deleted, when the installation resumes it is very likely that Windows Installer will give the error Error 1309. Error Reading from File in screen-ul Fatal error during installation. In this case, it is recommended to identify and manually delete the cache files remaining from the failed installation. When resuming the installation process, everything should go normally.
Another cause is this error is the quality of the CD/DVD from which the installation is made. If it has traces of substances or scratches on the reading side, then this is very likely to be the cause. The solution is simple to understand.
From what I noticed and tested, at the laptops that came with operating system Windows Vista pre-installed and upgraded to Windows 7, Optical unit is no longer able to read and write (read / write) certain types of CDs / DVDs. In this case, one is recommended firmware upgrade of the optical unit to avoid reading problems on DVD/CD.
