It is known that Yahoo! Mail, does not provide support POP than users who have accounts Yahoo! Mail Plus (in exchange for $ 19.99 / year). For ordinary users, however, there is an possibility of first / send Mail using a client mail desktop (gen : Outlook, Windows Live Mail , Mozilla Thunderbird) and / or mobile phone (for phones that allow the configuration of email boxes).
Alternative to pop of Log in / timing to the mail server is IMAP / Imap4 . Personally, I tested the Yahoo! box Mail on your cell phone ( NOKIA 6500 Slide) and went smoothincoming / outgoing) .

No…This is how the configuration used by me for mobile e-mail looks. To have access to Mobile Email Service , you need to have one of the technologies on your mobile phone: 3g+ , 3g , EDGE , GPRS or Data GSM . The tariff is done according to the criteria established by your mobile operator.
For configuration Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, use incoming and outgoing settings.
Incoming mail server IMAP : imap.n.mail.yahoo.com , port : 143
Outgoing mail server SMTP : smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com , port : 25

PS. Mobile email settings are tested in the Orange network.
