folder default when we open Windows Explorer in Windows 7 it is one with which we normally do not have many tangents (or the vast majority of users Windows 7 have no tangents), namely Libraries, totally absurd considering that anyway we navigate out of this folder whenever we have something to "explore". One would seem much more normal to me Windows Explorer to open with Computer (My Computer) or with My Documents, something that requires a little intervention/modification in The preferences of it (that is, of Windows Explorer).
If you want to modify Windows Explorer startup folder in Windows 7 (the folder with which it opens) - whether you want it to be My Computer or the personal folder, then you only have to follow the instructions below:
- Click-right on Windows Explorer in taskbar (if you are used to opening it from there), then right-click again on icon-ul Windows Explorer displayed in the list and select it Properties
- if you want Windows Explorer to open with My Computer, in tab-ul Shortcut modified Targetthe from %windir%explorer.exe in
%SystemRoot%explorer.exe /E,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
- for Windows Explorer to open with My Documents, modified Targetthe in
%SystemRoot%explorer.exe /n,::{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}
- Apply and OK
Note: If you are used to launching Windows Explorer from the Start Menu, then make changes to the shortcut present in the respective list. This tutorial was tested on Windows 7 and we do not recommend testing on previous operating systems (if you do, do so at your own risk).
