Apple anunta ca utilizatorii de iPhone se vor putea bucura de serviciile YouTube prin o noua aplicatie Apple-designed. Cu iPhone poti viziona continutul YouTube prin conexiune wireless peste retele Wi-Fi sau EDGE si bineinteles pe un display de 3.5 inch.

Pentru a realiza o calitate video mai buna si o viata mai lunga bateriei la aceste iPhone-uri, YouTube a inceput sa-si schimbe continuturile video in avansatul format H.264, iar iPhone va fi primul mobil care se va folosi de acest format, H.264-encoded videos. Peste 10,000 de video-uri sunt disponibile din 29 Iunie, si de atunci YouTube continua sa adauge video-uri pana cand tot catalogul lor va fi in format H.264 complet.
