Apple announces that iPhone users will be able to enjoy YouTube services through a new Apple-designed application. With iPhone you can watch YouTube content via wireless connection over Wi-Fi or EDGE networks and of course on a 3.5 inch display.

In order to achieve better video quality and longer battery life for these iPhones, YouTube has started to change its video contents to the advanced H.264 format, and the iPhone will be the first mobile to use this format, H.264-encoded videos. Over 10,000 videos are available as of June 29, and since then YouTube continues to add videos until their entire catalog is in full H.264 format.

The combination of H.264-encoded videos plus iPhones with Wi-Fi connectivity, the stunning 3.5-inch display, and YouTube applications with a multi-touch user interface do nothing but offer you the most pleasant YouTube experience on a mobile.
