Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the most stable software-uri antivirus for computers with operating systems Microsoft Windows 7. It is not just our opinion. It is one antivirus , Antispyware and antimalware poor in options, but very effective. Besides, it is free for those who have operating system license (Windows Genuine), and does his work quietly in background without stressing the user with alert uninteresting and popupwith “promotions”. Updatethe -s at Microsoft Security Essentials they are done automatically without requiring the user's attention, or manually from the antivirus client's interface (UI). If we have activated automatic updates in Windows 7 / Windows Vista, the antivirus updates itself automatically from Windows Update Center.
The strangest part of this antivirus by Microsoft is related to upgrade-hate. Compared to other companies that produce online security software and offline, Microsoft provides very few details about this product.
The other day I received a notification marked as “important“, for an upgrade to Microsoft Security Essentials (a new version of Microsoft Security Essentials available for download and installation).
Like most users, before or after they do upgradeof a software, I am curious to see the changes brought by the new version. A change log.
It seems that Microsoft wants to go on “trust” and probably leave the details for later. I think it is one of the very few softwares that, after a version upgrade, has none changelog which will inform the user of the news brought by the new version.
Upgrade to Microsoft Security Essentials v1.0.2498.0 it installs as one update used by Windows, which appears in the Windows Update Center, but the upgrade info link leads to the product download page.
