No longer hears the sound at “Empty Recycle Bin”? [How To Fix]

Last days I update to Windows 10 and noticed that some Windows 10 system sounds are missing. For example, when emptied “Recycle Bin” There is no hearing that sound that indicates that the files in them have been permanently erased.

It seems as for “SILENCE” Microsoft users has eliminated more system sounds over time. Windows System Sounds.

Fortunately, these sounds of the Windows operating system can be activated, disabled or changed as the users like. From the simple notification sound (Windows) and to the Windows starting sound, all can be changed, disabled or activated.

As far as we are concerned, we only want to come back specific sound when we empty the trash. Empty Recycle Bin.

How do we activate, disable or change system sounds on Windows 10? Windows System Sounds

As for these settings, even if from Windows XP to Windows 10, at least many years have passed, Settings for system sounds they remained in the same place.

1. We open “Start” in Windows 10, tastam: “system sound” and click on “Change system sounds“.

2. In sound settings mergem la tab-ul “Sounds” And we select “Empty Recycle Bin” from “Program Events“.

3. In the list of sounds from “Sounds” we select “Windows Recycle“. The specific sound when we empty the trash.

4. Click “Apply” and “OK”.

After this step the sound of “Empty Recycle Bin” It will be heard again on Windows.

Also from there you can activate, change and deactivate the sounds of the operating system. You can change the Windows starting sound for example. You can replace it with the sound removed by a rocket during launch or with a saw.

  1. Hello, I have this concern under Linux (and not that I) I have no need for the system sounds that I find generally, except that of emptying the basket, formerly under Ubuntu we could activate it, now, the freedesktop sounds of Oga extensions are no longer read by Linux systems, so no more basket!
System sound files no longer include the basket and I have not managed to find or is the command (Gui) to add a sound. I only get this by emptying the basket with the appropriate sound only with an alias in command line, which is frankly not practical.
Do you have an idea or go to my Debian to modify the order?
    Thanks in advance
