More than a month ago, I was left without a license at Kaspersky and I thought to temporarily install an antivirus free. I installed a trial version of Avast!, and I was surprised to find that not all the modules of the antivirus, runs at normal parameters on Windows Vista. (Home Premium).
Microsoft, recommend a list of 13 manufacturers, who have security solutions Compatible on Windows Vista operating systems:
1. Kaspersky (Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 & Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009) .
Personally, I have been using Kaspersky for several years and I am very pleased with him. I bought the license for Kav 2009, but from what I noticed it is weaker in the security than the previous versions and yet, it consumes much more resources. It is good, however, that I can run Kav 7 with a KAV license 2009 :)

3. Bitdefender - An antivirus quite widespread in Romania, but which in the free version (moka) is not compactable on Windows Vista. (Windows 98/NT-SP6/Me/2000/XP IE 4.0(+)) .

6. Symantec or Norton Nightmare. As a rule, it comes with the systems that have a pre -installed Windows Vista and is the first software that any user passed by the level "What is the CPU?!", Uninstall it.

9. Trend Micro – Trend Micro Products Are Windows Vista Certified.
