I promise to be employed soon by Yahoo! Messenger Team . I've tried almost all possible plugins and hacks on YM 8 and now I turned my attention to the beta version (preview) Yahoo! Messenger Vista. I am one step away from giving up this version, until new major updates appear, because I find it a little poorer than GTALK .

Y!M Vista, it looks good, but the pleasant design hides many bugs and shortcomings. I have the impression that this version was made on the run and removed at the insistence of users who waited almost a year for the launch of Y!M Vista. For those who are thinking of installing the new version of Y!M on Windows Vista, they don't have to look for the options voce and video . Y!M Vista doesn't have anything like that.

The list of options is very poor, as you can see in the image below:

Nothing special, nothing interesting “Preferences…”. where apart from “Connection” , “Ignore List”, “General” (with at least 4 other options.) and “sound” , there is nothing else. Well…it looks good and it's new. It's something else … and you don't feel like cursing by all the saints when you realize that does not save the archives of the conversations, it doesn't show the transfer details of a file to another ID (ie, what percentage is left to transfer from the file. It's stressful, because you don't know if something is being transferred or not). It has no notification messages for emails received on the Yahoo! , no Y!Music , no Webcam , no Yahoo! Voice, it doesn't have etc, etc, etc and it doesn't have Stealth Settings! Yeaaaarrr … it has something that compensates for all the shortcomings….

Yahoo.Messenger.YmApp has stopped working
