I showed in two tutorials How can Windows gadget platform be uninstalled and gadgets instalate in Windows Sidebar Gadgets pe Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
At the second tutorial I received a comment with a less common problem. It seems like behind INSTALLATION “online” of some gadgets, the platform Windows Sidebar Gadgets a data error (crash). Error who persists and if the platform is reinstalled FROM Windows Features.
How we can delete / uninstall a gadget if Windows Sidebar Gadgets can no longer be started (not responding).
If, after installing a gadget, Windows Sidebar Gadgets can no longer be started due to errors, and the anointed option of a gadget can no longer be accessed, then we will have to delete / uninstall “manual” the gadgets installed by us. To do this Lucu will have to follow a few very simple steps.
*For this tutorial I installed Weathbug In Windows Sidebar Gadgets and I looked for Another method of uninstall than the one in the screenshot below. (option that would no longer be accessible in case of a platform error)
1. First of all we have to go in “Sidebar Gadgets Installation Path” (The folder in which the gadgets are installed downloadate of us), to identify and to We delete folderthe gadgets installed by us. This folder can be found in:
C:UsersNumeuseAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows SidebarGadgets
2. From the folder C: usersnumeuserapdatalocalcoswindows sidebar Settings.ini And we delete the line that indicates the installation of the gadget that we want to eliminate (weatherbug in our case) after which Ctrl+S to save the change.
3. Restart the computer, then click on the desktop and open “Gadgets“. The wrong gadget has been uninstalled, and now the Windows Sidebar Gadgets platform should go smoothly.
