Echipa Microsoft de dezvoltare a Windows 11 s-a întors la treabă după pauza de sărbători și a lansat o nouă versiune Windows 11, Build 27686 (Canary Channel), cu câteva noutăți și caracteristici destul de interesante, inclusiv pentru Windows Sandbox Client.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27686 introduces optimizations for battery life, advanced features for Windows Sandbox and settings for more intuitive control. In addition, this version also includes a number of remedies for problems reported in previous versions.
Windows Sandbox Client Preview
One of the most interesting features entered is Windows Sandbox Client Preview, which now receives updates through Microsoft Store. This version includes: dynamic redirection of the clipboard at Runtime, audio/video control for input and the possibility of sharing folders with the host during running.
These options are accessible through the new access button to settings “…” from the top of the application. Also, an experimental support for the command line has been introduced. For more information, you can use the order wsb.exe –help.

This version brings some general optimizations. Some features previously introduced in the Canary Canal may disappear temporarily as new versions of the 27xxx series are launched. They will return progressively in future versions.
An important aspect is the optimization of the battery life, which will have the effect of extending the battery life on the devices running Build 27686+. Microsoft encourages users to report any battery issues through feedback.
Build 27686 also introduces new new settings for VHD/VHDX. A dedicated button was added to detach virtual disk (VHD/VHDx) in the section: Settings > System > Storage > Disk & Volumes > Msft Virtual Disk.
New HDR displays are also introduced. On HDR display devices, users can now activate HDR video streaming even if the main HDR option is disabled.
This new option can be activated from: Settings > System > Display > HDR.

In order to evaluate the future network performance optimizations, the devices enrolled on the Canary Canal can periodically run the network tests. These tests use a minimum amount of data (up to 10MB/day) and are only carried out on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections as being with traffic limit.
Limita FAT32 extinsă
When forming discs using the command formed from the control line, the maximum size for FAT32 has been increased from 32GB to 2TB.
Remedieri importante
In this new version there are also some remedies of some problems present on the previous versions:
Dev Drive: Problems related to the automatic removal of VHDs have been solved.
Lock screen: The synchronization of the battery icon with the actual battery level has been adjusted.
Windows Security: The incorrect display of network icons in the Windows Security app has been remedied.
Settings: Correction of various errors, such as the lack of space between the buttons or the improper display of the supply mode options.
Probleme cunoscute în Build 27686
If you move to the Canary Canal on a new child PC, coming from the Dev, Resease Preview or Retail channel, you will lose the possibility to use Windows Hello Pin and biometric functions to connect. This is accompanied by the error 0xd0000225 and the message “Something went wrong, and your PIN isn’t available“. To solve the problem, you can recreate the PIN by clicking the option: “Set up my PIN“.
Also, in this version is investigated and a problem that prevents the utility opening dfrgui.exe (Defrag and optimize drives). When trying to open the application, an error appears with the message that the file SXSHARED_UCRT.dll Missing.
In conclusion, this new version brings imported changes, but do not forget that some news and features of Windows 11 Insider Preview published on Canary may not be present in the final version.
