wuaudt.exe and wuauclt.exe There are two similar system processes (mostly the confusion between these two the process is due to their name – "Cl" vs. "D"), both being responsible, in their legitimate form, for Windows OS automatic updates. These runs in background, checking if new updates have appeared for the system, every time the computer is connected to the Internet.
As with most system processes, neither wuaclt.exe and wuaudt.exe are exempted from "clone”, in special TROJANI (Cult-B or Backdoor.Clt Trojan), which can develop different harmful activities (: P) in the "host" systems, from the theft of bank information, personal data, etc., to the creation of irritating popup-ups, with and about ads. To determine whether the processes wuaclt.exe and wuaudt.exe are legitimate or not, check their location (the legitimate processes are located in C: Windows System32) or temporarily disable automatic updates. If one or both processes are still running after disabling updateThe ones, then we recommend their completion, because 99% are likely to be Trojani.
How can you disable automated updates:
- Start Menu –> Run
- tastati services.msc-> Enter
- click-dreapta Automatic Updates –> Properties
- Disable-> OK. ;)
After this step, Windows Automatic Actulizations, will be stopped.
