Installation Modem Option Icon 225 on Windows 7 [Orange – Business Everywhere]

Before we start explaining you How you can install MODEM Option ICON 225 (Internet mobile) on Windows 7, we tell you that users of Windows Vista, will have to update their operating systems at Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or Windows Vista Service Pack 2, to be able to install and use this modem.

Download: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 – via: microsoft.com (five lang. standalone)

Download: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 – “Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista is an upcoming update to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. It will provide customer and partner feedback-driven fixes into a single service pack, minimizing deployment and testing complexity. In addition to all previously released updates since SP1, SP2 will support new types of hardware, and will add support for several emerging standards.” –  published by technet.microsoft.com on April 28, 2009.

Installation Modem Option Icon 225 (Orange Internet Mobile) on Windows 7

1. Connect modem-ul ICON 225 la laptophis PCyour

2. In the window that will open (autoplay) select (double-click) Open folder to view files.

3. In the folder that will open, you will find four files, among others: Authoruncarddetector, CardDetector, CardDetectorSetup & ModemDeviceSetup.
Take the four files one by one and set for each to run in Compatibility with Windows Vista SP 1 and “Administrator privileges“. How you can do this:
– click -right on the file -> Properties -> tab: Compatibility -> Check the box from the right “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” -> Select Windows Vista SP 2.
– In the same box, below, you will find Privilege Level. Tick ​​the box next to the right “Run this program is an administrator”. Apply & OK.

4. After applying point 3. At all four files, run Authoruncarddetector.exe (double-click), wait until the splash disappears “The installation of your software will start automatically…”, then follow Internet installation steps everywhere. At the end of the installation, the system restarts will ask. Restart.

5. After restarting the system, on the desktop (workspace) you will defend you a shortcut orange – Internet everywhere but also the error message “CoreCom initialization is incorrect: OS not managed“.

This is a logical error. The installer was made in compatibility with Windows Vista SP1, and the application is automatically set to run on Windows 7.

6. Close the application and click-right on shortcut-ul Internet Everywhere from the desktop. Set to run in compatibility with Windows Vista SP 1 or SP 2 (see how you can do this, in puncture 3.)

Now you can restart the application And you can enjoy the mobile internet of Orange on Windows 7 (we know how to sound, but we are not paid for it: P)

    • I don't think it will go on Windows 10. The modem is quite old and I don't think it has updated form for the new Microsoft Windows operating systems.
