From time to time we happen to meet a Hard-disk error, especially if he is gathered for a few years and performs (almost) non-stop. In such cases, WinXP gives us the option to check hdd-ul of errors (how many are and who are the sectors affected) with Chkdsk.exe. For this, however, it is necessary restart the computer and then waiting (sometimes quite long and irritating) as Utility to make his Damblaua (that is, to finish the HDD scan).
CheckDiskGUI It's O Free application, cu Simple interface and easy to use, which presents the same features as Windows checkddisk, the difference being that, due to the fact that it is not necessary to restart the computer, HDD verification can be done in parallel with other activities (Internet browsing, Document editing, Watch movies etc.). In addition, checkdiskgui presents the options of reparation and reparation & Recover of the HDD sectors and the data on it.
How does checkdiskgui work?
When we run the application, it lists all partitions/HDDs existing in the system. Depending on the errors, you can select one or more partitions for them to be checked.

- If you just want to check the HDD of errors, after you have selected the partitions, click on Read Only (This option will not restart your PC and allows you to use the computer during checking).
- If you want to repair any errors that could be discovered (or the errors already discovered), click on Fix or on Fix and Recover (in order to repair and recover the data written on the affected sectors). Attention, however, the fixed and fixed and recover options require restarting the computer, because the repair of sectors takes place during Bootarii in Windows.
Note: Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
