Disable Microsoft Office 2010 Upload Center – Systray Icon & Msosync.exe

Dupa ce instalam Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus este bine sa ne gandim daca toate procese si aplicatiile instalate de aceasta suita ne sunt utile. Majoritatea folosim Microsoft Office for Excel, PowerPoint, Word Office, OneNote and Outlook, insa pe langa aplicatiile de baza se mai instaleaza si alte tool-uri suplimentare care pentru majoritatea userilor nu sunt altceva decat procese in plus pe CPU and RAM. Un exemplu este “Shared Folder Synchronization” (fostul Groove) care apare in Context Menu. Daca nu folosim Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010, the option “Shared Folder Synchronization” devine un link deranjant pe Context Menu. Remove “Shared Folder Synchronization” din Context Menu.

Acest tool este foarte util celor care doresc sa-si sincronizeze fisierele Office in lucru pe servere.

What is the Microsoft Office 2010 Upload Center?
Microsoft Office 2010 Upload Center now gives you a way to see the state of files you’re uploading to a server, in one location. When you upload a file to a web server, Microsoft first saves that file locally to the Office Document Cache before it starts the upload, which means that you can save changes and immediately continue working even when you are offline or have a bad network connection. The Microsoft Office Upload Center lets you keep track of how uploads are progressing, and whether any files need your attention.

For a user of Microsoft Office 2010 which does not use document synchronization on calculator / laptop pe Web servers, that's all orange icon from systray (bottom right corner) as well as the process Msosync.exe I am extra.

How to disable the Office Upload Center icon in the systray.

1. Right-click on the icon and click “Settings”.
