Most users Windows USE Windows Explorer to navigate the system. This method of navigate it is the most accessible to users, but it is not always the best rapid, especially when it is necessary to open a file located in a folder well hidden on one of the partitions (practically, if we want to open a certain file that is stored in a subfolder of a subfolder of a subfolder of a folder etc., we will have to open the respective subfolders in order to reach the file). But if we know exactly what is the name of the file respectively and we also know which is the way (path) to this (name directories which must be opened until the file is reached), users can access the file much faster.
How do we quickly open a folder or a file in Windows Explorer?
To quickly open a folder or file in Windows Explorer the user must know that if he types certain characters (for example the name of a folder or file) in quick succession, will navigate directly to the first folder whose name matches the string of CHARACTERS typed. Basically, the user must start typing the name of the folder he wants to open, then give Enter to access it.
Once the respective folder is opened, if you want to access a file contained in it, you must type the first characters FROM file name (or the whole name, if the first characters match several files) and then press Enter. For example, if you want to open a program from the folder Program Files, instead of opening Windows Explorer > Computer > C: > Program Files because then to locate the folder in which the program is installed and then open it to locate and open it in turn PROGRAM desired, simply open Windows Explorer (assuming it opens directly in Computer; if not, click on Computer in the left panel), type the first letters of the partition name C: (for example Win if this is called Windows, or local, if you have kept the name Local Disk), then quickly type pro And give Enter (if you use a version Windows with the architecture of 64-be and you want to open one installed program in Program Files (x86), taste pro, then Arrow down And give Enter). Then type the first letters of the name of the folder that contains the program you want to open and press Enter again. This way you will reach the folder containing the desired program much faster than if you navigated normally in Windows Explorer.
Once you are in the program's installation folder, either click on the program to open it, or type the first characters of the name to it and press Enter (to follow the same method that brought you to the respective folder).
The only minus in this method is that you must know the exact names of the folders and files that you want to open using the keyboard. However, if you use the respective programs/folders quite often, this will certainly not be a problem.
