If you are in its situation Want to disable/reactivate Folder Options (For various reasons, among which the most important is privacy/Restricting access of other users to personal files), then you definitely need the following instructions:
Disable/reactivate Folders Options via Local Group Policy Editor
- open Local Group Policy Editor (GPEDIT.MSC) and click (in a row) on User Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows Explorer (panel on the left side of the window)

- In the right panel, click-right on Removes the Folder Options menu from the Tools Menu and select Edit (or Properties)

- To reactivate folder options, select or Disabled ori Not Configured and then click on OK.
If you count yourself among the edition users Windows Home, you probably already know (or find out now) that you don't have the opportunity to access Group Policy Editor. In this case, you can disable/reactivate folders options only through system registers.
Disable/reactivate Folders Options via Registry Editor (Register editor)

- Restart your computer
If you have no experience in using registers, we recommend that you download the following files and then to Give double-click on these to disable or reactivate folder options:

Note: Before modifying the system registers, we recommend that you make a back-up to avoid any unpleasant consequence that could occur as a result of any mistakes (Open regedit, click on File in the left-handed corner and select Export from the displayed menu. Choose a location - preferably at hand - where Save the .Gen file, and in case of error, Give double-click on this file to repair registers).
This tutorial has not been tested on Windows XP, so we do not recommend the use of the registers on any XP edition.
