Often happens to need to access some FILES A imagine .vhd created to be used with a virtual car (for example XP Mode, which can be rolled with Windows Virtual PC and/or VMware Player on certain versions of Windows 7; and XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC can be discharged from SITE Microsoft) or o imagine de backup a the operating system (For those who do not know how to create a system backup image, find instructions here).
A faster access of the respective files (included in the VHD image), without being required booting the virtual system or the use of any Third-Party applications in order to backup, can be done following the steps below:
- open Disk Management (taste diskmgmt.msc in Run And give Enter)
- In the open window click on Action (in the left-handed corner), then select Attach VHD
- Navigati Catre the image .vhd containing the files you want to access, select it and click on OK
And ready. image VHD will be able to be accessed as drive virtual FROM Windows Explorer. And after you no longer need to access VHD image, open again Disk Management, click-right on the virtual drive and select Detach VHD.
