Customer Relations Service of RNC aka Rotld, also called here.
Before getting into the subject, let me explain exactly what those initials on the job title represent.
RNC – National Computer Network
ROTLD – Romania Top Level Domain
ICI - (now I see that they have given themselves several names...) NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH-DEVELOPMENT IN COMPUTER INFORMATION (...some time ago it was only: “Informatics Research Institute" … they thought they also needed a little development)
Under all these names, there is practically a single institution, which, among other concerns, also manages domain names .ro, which I avoided and will continue to avoid... for the simple reason that only "professionals" who think they are the fathers of the Internet work there. Superiority complexes in the stench of insensibility frozen in a chair, who do not want to understand to leave room in that institute for people who are younger and much less stressed than them. In the following you will see a "recording" of a friend who called Customer Relations ROTLD, to clarify a problem related to a .ro domain:
RTLD Customer Relations call – 21.07.2008 ora:12.27 – 12.28
Problem: On Friday 18.07.2008, the payment for the domain was made at the closing of the bank and clearly after the end of the work schedule of ROTLD.
On Monday 21.07.2008 he appeared registered, but in the details he appeared ” prohibited bla bla … ” I wanted to know if it is still necessary to confirm the payment by mail or fax or not, given the ambiguity of the situation.Ms. Customer Relations – hereinafter referred to as DRC
DRC – RTLD Welcome!
Eu – Hello, my name is Lucian Botez. I made a payment for a domain after the 5-day period in which I was obliged to make it and I wanted to know…
DRC – Sir, have you confirmed them? (in a very high pitch)
Eu – Not because… (and here I wanted to explain to him the reason why I did not confirm and to try to actually bring up the real problem, when he cut me off again)
DRC – Please confirm by fax! (in an aggressive tone already)
Eu – And’ I don't have a fax, give me an email address so I can scan it….
DRC – Did you read what it says there? Send confirmation!! (hysterical)
Eu – Madam, I understand that you have problems at home, but now you are at work and please leave them at the door and show yourself as such
DRC – Ma, do you know who you are talking to?
Eu – No, because you didn't introduce yourself, but I called customer relations, and I'm a customer, you have to give me a minimum of respect and goodwill (I'm already irritated too)
DRC – Read everything and send confirmation, you've read what's written there (he's already screaming)I found myself forced to resign and thank him by wishing him a good day, because otherwise I had no more patience and I showed him everything I learned in Dristor about marlanie…
In the subject of what is above, I will make public part of a conversation between me and the support from namecheap.com (USA), which deals with the registration of domains, as well as the ROTLD.
I encountered an error when registering a .com domain, and I contacted support (customer relations) namecheap.com.
